Facing the Feet of the Deceased towards the Qibla in the Grave

Q: Janaa'iz-17: There are two people who claim that they read in a book that the feet of the deceased person in the grave should face the Qibla. They however do not recall which book they read it in. Others however maintain that the face needs to ace toward the Qibla. the feet may at all face towards the Qibla, in which situation will this be?

Answer: It is Masnoon to lower the body into the grave from the side of the Qibla. it is the Sunnah Mu'akkadah to place the body on the right side with the face facing towards the Qibla. In fact, some Fuqahaa even state that it is Waajib (compulsory) to placed the deceased with the face towards the Qibla.

Placing the deceased with the feet facing towards the Qibla is not permissible. conflicts with the Shari'ah of Islaam and therefore sinful. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
