Cutting the Green Grass Around the Graves

Q: Janaa'iz-71: There is green grass and trees growing on the graves. Can they be cut to dispel the inconvenience they cause to visitors?

Answer: It is Mustahab not to cut the green grass and plants growing on Graves because they benefit the deceased, who become attached to them. This is, of course, no harm in cutting dry grass. The grass and plants growing around the graves that inconvenience the visitors may however be cut to clear the path.
