Reciting the Kalimah Aloud when Carrying the Funeral Bier

Q: Janaa'iz-105: What is the ruling concerning reciting the Kalimah and other Adhkaar aloud and together while transporting the funeral bier?

Answer: The Ahadeeth make it clear that Allaah likes the body of the deceased to be carried in silence. It is for this reason that the Sahabah RADI. regarded it as Makrooh to recite aloud when transporting the deceased. The Fuqahaa of the Hanafi Madh'hab therefore regard it to be an act of Bid'ah and Makrooh Tahreemi act to engage in audible Dhikr when accompanying a funeral bier. It is, nonetheless, permissible without being Makrooh to recite the Kalmah and other Adhkaar silently. And Allaah knows best What is most correct.
