Can Fidya for Several Fasts be given to One Poor Person?

Q: Saum-16: Is it permissible to give the Fidya for one fast to two poor Persons or to give the Fidya for several fasts to one poor person?

Answer: Just as it is permissible to give the grain of Fidya or its monetary equivalent for one fast to two poor persons, it is also permissible to give the Fidya for several fasts to one poor person. This means that the rulings governing Fidya is unlike those that govern Kaffaarah but akin to those of Sadaqatul Fitr. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
