Leaving the Masjid when there is Non e other to Bathe the Deceased

Q: It'kaaf-13: Will one's I'tikaaf be nullified if one leaves the Masjid out of necessity, such as bathing the deceased or performing the Janaazah salaah when there is no one else to do so?

Answer: Leaving the Masjid for any reason other than that which is necessary will nullify the I'tikaaf. The I'tikaaf will therefore not be nullified then one leaves the Masjid when there is no one else to bathe the deceased, to perform the Janaazah salaah or to give testimony when failure to do so will result in someone's right being lost.

Likewise, I'tikaaf will also not be nullified if one leaves the Masjid to save the life of a person who is in danger of death or injury through drowning, burning or any other means.t And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
