Speaking to the Wife

Q: It'kaaf-25: Can a person in I'tikaaf discuss necessary issues with his wife such as what food to prepare, etc? Can he also speak loving talks with her? What happens when the person leaves the Masjid to relieve himself and then ends up having intercourse with his wife?

Answer: While it is permissible for the person in I'tikaaf to discuss necessary issues with his wife, it will be Makrooh for him to make loving conversation with her or to fondle her in any way, Intercourse will nullify the I'tikaaf.
