Starting Ramadhaan in Bombay and then Proceeding for Umrah

Q: Hil-9: A person started Ramadhaan in Bombay and then decided to proceed to Makkah for Umrah. The people there had however started Ramadhaan a day or two earlier. Must this person now celebrate with the people in Makkah or must he fast on their Eid day and complete his fast afterwards?

Answer: He must celebrate Eid with them and then make up the balance of is fasts afterwards. Therefore. if he fasted for only 27 days, he must fast another two days afterwards and if he fasted 28 days, he needs to complete one fast afterwards. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
