Establishing Sighting for Months other than Ramadhaan

Q: Hil-:16 How many witnesses are necessary to establish the moon sighting for months other than Ramadhaan and the months of Eid?

Answer: Regardless of whether the sky is clear or not, the testimony of two men or one man and two women will suffice to establish the sighting of the moon for the months other than Ramadhaan and the months of Eid. These nine months are Muharram, Safar, Rabee'ul Awwal. Rabee'uth Thaani Jumaadal ula. Jumaadal Ukhra, Rajab, Sha'baan and Dhul ea'dah.
