News of the Sighting Received by Fax

Q: Hil-18: Can news of the moon sighting be accepted in received by fax? Can this be regarded as a letter from one Qaadhi to another?

Answer: A fax falls into the category of an ordinary letter and cannot be regarded as a letter from one Qaadhi to another because the condition of such a letter are not found. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
