Paying Sadaqatul Fitr in Flour

Question: Here in Mauritius. people usually do not make roti out of wheat, but out of flour that is imported into the country. 500g. of this flour costs 50 cents (50 Paise) and it is only people who have special needs who purchase wheat. Must we calculate the Sadaqatui Fitr according to the price of this flour or according to the price of heat?

Answer: If this flour is made from pure wheat and there is nothing else added to it. sadaqatul Fitr will be discharged by giving 1.75kg. of the flour." The Sadaqatui Fitr will also be discharged if the monetary equivalent of this amount of flour is given However, if there is anything else added to the flour monetary equivalent will not be discharged by giving the flour or the monetary equivalent thereof. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
