Wife, Daughter and a Brother

Question: The heirs surviving a deceased person are his wife, daughter and a brother. How will his estate be distributed?

Answer: After settling all debts and expenses as determined by the Shari'ah, the estate will be divided into 8 shares and distributed as follows:

Heir????????????????????????? Share

Wife?????????????????????????? 1

Daughter????????????????????? 4

Brother ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? 3

And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
