Divorce in Exchange for Dowry

Question: Can a man take his wife back if she offered to waive her dowry In exchange for a divorce and he said, "I divorce you in exchange for your dowry"? Is the divorce Raj'ee or Baa'in?

Answer: when a clear divorce is issued in exchange for dowry, the divorce Will be regarded as Baa'in (meaning that he will be unable to live with her again without a formal remarriage). Similarly, a divorce issued before consummation will also be regarded Baa'in, even though clear words were used.
