Selling Fireworks

Q: Prohibitions and Permissions-4: What is the ruling concering Selling Fireworks?

Answer: Destroying one's money on fireworks is certainly wastage, which the Qur'aan condemms when it states, "The wasters are indeed the brothers of Shaytaan and Shaytaan was ungreatful to his Rabb."

Using fireworks is therefore an act of sin and selling them also be sinful. Furthermore, it is also used in the celebration of the Kuffaar and the Qur'aan makes it clear that "Do not assist in the sin and disobedience." It is therefore not even permissible to work for someone who sells fireworks because one's salary will then certainly be coming from this trade that is tantamount to assisting people in evil and sin. And Allah knows best what is most correct.
