Installing Television Sets in a Traveller's Inn

Q: Prohibitions and Permissions-15: We run an organisation that owns a traveller's inn. Many travellers have asked for television sets to be installed in the rooms and someone has offered to pay for them. Is this permissible and will the trustees of the organisation be sinful for having them installed?

Answer: No permission at all can be given for television sets to be installed in the rooms and, if done, the trustees of the organisation will be sinful. The offer to sponsor the television sets should be refused. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
