Is Qasasul Ambiyaa ALY. an Authentic Book or Not?

Q: Prohibitions and Permissible-47: Is it permissible or not to read the book Qusasul Ambiyaa ALY. and to read it to others? The reason for asking is that some people have indicated that the book is not authentic. We also wish to know the following:

1. Does the ruling of authentic or not authentic apply to the entire book or only to some parts? People like us will benefit tremendously if you could point out which parts are not authentic.

2. How will it be for a qualified Aalim to narrate stories from this book? rather than any other?

Answer: The original Qasasul Ambiyaa ALY. is written in Persian and despite searching for it we are unable to find the original. We have managed to find a translation from Daarul Uloom Ashrafiyyah, but have not found the time to read it. Coincidentally, a friend mentioned to me that Hadhrat Moulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi RAH. has listed some books at the end of his Behisti Zewar, which he notes are beneficial to the reader. The book Qasasul Ambiyaa ALY. is also on this list. Since a great research scholar like Hadhrat Thanwi RAH. has noted this book as beneficial, there is no need for further verification. This is a history book and not one discussing belief's or laws. However, if the one reading to others is an Aalim. there is less chance of misunderstanding.
