Should the Hands be Folded when Reciting the Qunoot Naazila?

Q: Miss-7: Should the hands be folded or left by the sides when reciting the Qunoot Naazila? What is the preferred method?

Answer: It is preferred and the better substantiated opinion is to fold the hands because according to Imaam Abu Haneefah RAH. and Imaam Abu Yusuf RAH. it is Sunnah to fold the hands during every Qiyaam in which a Dhikr is recited. It is for this reason that the hands are folded when reciting the Thanaa, the Qunoot of Witr and the Janaazah salaah. There should, however, not be any dispute if someone leaves his hands by his sides. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
