Marriage to a Woman who is Pregnant from Adultery

Question: Amr committed adultery with Hinda, because of which she fell pregnant. She then married Bakr and was five months pregnant when she went to live with Bakr. When he disclosed the situation to her parents, they came to fetch her and had an abortion done. Is the marriage to Bakr valid and can he have intercourse with her?

Answer: Although Bakr's marriage to Hinda is valid, he may not have intercourse with her until her Nifaas (after-birth bleeding) has stopped.
