Question 442) - What is the ruling if the Zakah was given to one in charge of the Madrasah?

A: It is allowed if he made the supervisor his representative to spend it on the Faqir and Misin students, on condition that the supervisor makes them the owners. The Zakah is not fulfilled by simply making the food permissible for them; nor by constructing buildings of the Madrasah; nor by using it for the salaries of the teachers or other employees of the Madrasah.
