TAHAARAH - Cleanliness - WATER

Question 26) - Does the death of animals in water pollute the water?

A: Yes, the death of an animal with flowing blood - bird or beast - pollute the water i.e. makes it impure. The death of an animal which normally lives in the water does not make it impure, e.g. fish, frogs, crabs, just as it does not become impure through the death of that which does not have flowing blood e.g bedbugs, flies, hornets and scorpions.
