Eating and Drinking in the State of Janaabah

Q: Prohibitions and Permissions-16: Is it Halaal or Haraam for a person to eat or drink in the state of Janaabah? Does the ruling differ from man to woman?

Answer: If one needs to eat or drink after discharging semen, one should at least make wudhu before eating. If this is not possible, then at least wash the hands and rinse the mouth because eating or drinking before this is Makrooh. The same ruling applies to both men and women. The only exception is a woman experiencing Haidh or Nifaas.
