Question 1188) - Are there restrictions upon the transactions of the agent?

A: Yes, according to Imaam Abu Hanifa RAH. the agent of buying and selting may not transact with his father, grandfather, son, grandson, wife, slave and Mukatab [contracted slave]. According to Imaam Abu yusuf RAH. and Imaam Muhammed RAH. he may transact with them at market rates but not with his slave or Mukatab.
