Is a Licentious Wife deserving of her Dowry?

Question: A man attests to having seen his wife commit adultery and she and her partner have confessed to the same. He has since divorced her. Is she deserving of her dowry and maintenance for the duration of her Iddah since she is a confessed adulteress?

Answer: Because she was guilty of adultery and an unfaithful wife, she will not be entitled to maintenance. The dowry will, nonetheless, still be due to her. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
