Answer

In the name of All?h, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assal?mu ?alaykum wa Rahmatull?hi Wabarak?tuh

We lament the demise of your father and make du?a that All?h Ta??la elevates his status in the Hereafter and grant you all patience, Am?n. Our prayers are with you and your family. We wish to inform you that your father has attained martyrdom, the reward of which is Jannah (paradise). Rasulull?h (Sallall?hu ?alayhi wa sallam) has stated:

??????? ???? ???????? ???

?The one that passes away due to a stomach sickness or plague has passed away as a martyr?

(Sahih Bukh?ri, Chapter on Plagues)

It is established in Ah?d?th that our actions are presented to All?h Ta??la, Rasulull?h (Sallall?hu ?alayhi wa sallam) and our deceased families and friends. In Surah Taubah, All?h Ta??la states:

??? ?????? ????? ???? ????? ?????? ?????????

?Say, ?Do (what you do); Allah will see your deed, as will the Messenger and the believers?

(Surah Taubah, 105)

Hereunder are Ah?d?th to substantiate the above:

1. Presentation of actions to All?h Ta??la:

?Rasulull?h (Sallall?hu ?alayhi wa sallam) said: The actions of man are presented before Allah Ta??la twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays?

(Sahih Muslim, #6493)[1]

2. Presentation of actions to Rasulull?h (Sallall?hu ?alayhi wa sallam):

?Rasulull?h (Sallall?hu ?alayhi wa sallam) said: My demise is good for you, as your deeds will be presented to me. When I will see the good deeds (of my followers), I will praise Allah Ta??la and when I see the bad, I will seek forgiveness on your behalf?

(Majma? Al-Zaw?id, Chapter on the demise of the Prophet, vol. 4, pg. 24, Maktaba Al-Qudsi)[2]

The great Tabi??, Sa??d bin Musayyib said:

?The actions of my followers are presented daily to Rasulull?h (Sallall?hu ?alayhi wa sallam)?

(Fath Al-B?ri, Chapter of crying during recitation of Qur?n, #5055, vol. 9, pg. 122, Qad?m?)[3]

3. Presentation of actions to deceased families and friends:

?Rasulull?h (Sallall?hu ?alayhi wa sallam) said: Indeed your actions are presented before your deceased relatives and families. If your actions are good, they rejoice and if they are bad, they say: Oh Allah! Do not take their lives until you guide them, as you guided us?

(Musnad Ahmad, Hadith of Anas, vol. 3, pg. 165)[4]

It is authentically recorded from Muj?hid that he said:

?Indeed a man rejoices in his grave with the good of his son after his demise?

(Kit?b Al-R?h, pg. 18, D?r Al-Da?wah)[5]

We hope that the above is sufficient.

And All?h Ta??la Knows Best
Wassal?mu ?alaykum
