Question

i would like to know if am i allowed to go for umrah with my late husband's wife and children.

Answer

Assalamu 'alaykum wa Rahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

It will be permissible for you to travel with your late husband’s wife and children on condition the male children are of a mature age (Baaligh). They will serve as a mahram for you as they are the children of your husband.

( وَ ) مَعَ ( زَوْجٍ أَوْ مَحْرَمٍ ) وَلَوْ عَبْدًا أَوْ ذِمِّيًّا أَوْ بِرَضَاعٍ ( بَالِغٍ ) قَيَّدَ لَهُمَا كَمَا فِي النَّهْرِ بَحْثًا ( عَاقِلٍ وَالْمُرَاهِقُ كَبَالِغٍ ) [1]
قوله ( كما في النهر بحثا ) حيث قال وينبغي أن يشترط في الزوج ما يشترط في المحرم وقد اشترط في المحرم العقل والبلوغ اه
لكن كان على الشارح أن يؤخره عن قوله عاقل وهذا البحث نقله القهستاني عن شرح الطهاوي ح قوله ( والمراهق كبالغ )
