In Which Row must a Deranged Person Stand?

Q: Salaah-367: There is a boy who has come of age but is not mentally Sound. Like other deranged people, he does not stand still, looks about and has no concept of cleanliness. He however stands in the first row and is a disturbance to the other Musallis. Can he be placed in the first or second rows and if he is already there, can he be moved to another back row?

Answer: If the deranged person does not understand the dignity of salaah has no concept of purity and does acts which disturb other Musallis, he may be prevented from standing in the adult rows. He can also be moved to another row if he stands in the front rows. The Fuqahaa have classified such a person as a child.
