For People not in I'tikaaf to Break their Fast with those in I'tikaaf

Q: lt'kaaf-8: The Imaam of the Masjid is in I'tikaaf. can the Imaam of the Taraaweeh salaah, who is not in I'tikaaf, join him in lftaar (break his fast with him)?

Answer: It is preferable for the Haafidh Sahib (lmaam of the Taraaweeh salaah) to have his Iftaar outside the Masjid and may do so inside the Masjid with the person in I'tikaaf only after making the intention for Nafl I'tikaaf. Together with the du'aa for entering the Masjid, he should also say. "I intend to be in the state of I'tikaaf for as long as I am in the Masjid.
