For a Person to call out the Adhaan (md lqaamah when he Shaves off his Beard

Q: Salaah-220: Can a person call out the Adhaan and Iqaamah when he shaves off his beard?

Answer: A person who shaves his beard is classified as a Faasiq (open sinner) in terms of the Shari'ah. Maa Laa Budda Minhu (Pg. 130) states that trimming the beard before it reaches the length of a fist is Haraam. When a non-Faasiq is available, it will be Makrooh to have a Faasiq call out the Adhaan and Iqaamah. To appoint such a person as Mu'adhin is Makrooh Tahreemi. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
