What is Sunnah to do Before the Eid Salaah?

Q: Salaah-187: Is there any substantiation for the custom of buying milk before the Eid salaah to make Sher Khurma (a sweetened milk drink)?

Answer: Before proceeding to the Eid Gah, it is Mustahab to eat an odd number of dates or to have anything sweet. There is however nothing to substantiate the custom of having only Sher Khurma before proceeding. This must not be regarded as an act of Sunnah.
