The Du'aa is after the salaah and not after the Khutbah

Q: Salaah-288: Is the du'aa on the day of Eid made after the Salaah or after the Khutbah? It is usually made after the Khutbah here. Is this correct?

Answer: Making the du'aa after the Khutbah as you do at your Eid Gah is baseless and in conflict with the Sunnah. The collective du'aa is made after the Eid salaah and not after the? Khutbah. The Imaam ought to make a shortdu'aa after the salaah and du'aa is made again in the second Khutbah. This is really the du'aa for the day of Eid. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
