Question 138) - What is a woman's 'awrah?

A: If she is a free woman then her 'awrah for the validity of Shah is her entire body. The only exception is her face, hands and feet. This is only for the validity of Salah. It does not mean that she is allowed to show her face to non-mahrams. A slave-girl's 'awrah is the same as a man?s except that she will cover her stomach and back. The rest of her body is not 'awrah.
