Question

I recently found out this site and have learnt and implemented so many things in my normal rountine...May Allah bless you all for your endeavours. I wanted to be cleared about something, which? I've been asked and similarly told several times. But I need a satisfying answer to that as I am still confused.

1. We as muslims believe that in the end we all go to heaven. And our Prophet (SAW) has promised us that. I have read a hadith where our Prophet (SAW) has mentioned that the one who believes in Allah as the only Creator, this belief alone will take him to heaven. His companions and at one place He himself did not want this to be made public out of worry over the fact that the people would leave all righteous practices on the belief that they're destined to heaven already. What exactly was meant by the headith? Additionally whenever we read Quran, there are words announcing victory for 'those who believe and do the righteous deeds'...

2. We Muslims believe in Allah being the sole Creator and the only worthiest of being worshipped...and that Prophet (SAW) is his last messenger. A person in the present world who believes in the first part alone and somehow is not aware of the last part, say the Jews and Christians, or maybe not belonging to any religion yet believes in One Creator, will he be destined to heaven?

3. A person who's asked to take up hijaab or pray five times a day...his reply is that we muslims will goto heaven anyway. How do we approach such kind of muslims.

1. Sayyiduna Muadh ??? ???? ????? ???narrates that he was seated behind the Messenger of Allah on a conveyance. Nabi ??? ???? ???? ????called out: O Muadh ibn Jabal! He responded: here I am at your service. For a second time Nabi ??? ???? ???? ????called out: O Muadh! He responded: here I am at your service. For a third time Nabi ??? ???? ???? ????called out: O Muadh! He responded: here I am at your service. Nabi ??? ???? ???? ????then mentioned: whoever sincerely testifies that there is no deity besides Allah, and that Muhammad is His messenger then the fire of hell will be forbidden on him. Sayyiduna Muadh ??? ???? ????? ???asked: O Messenger of Allah should I not inform the people so that they may rejoice? Nabi ??? ???? ???? ???? replied: in that case they will rely only on this. The above narration means that whoever accepts iman sincerely will be free from hell fire. There are different interpretations to this narration. Some scholars mention that sincere imam is when a person?s actions are in conformity to iman. Therefore, if a person accepts iman and acts accordingly will not enter hell fire. This is also what is meant in the Noble Quran by those who believe and do righteous deeds. Another explanation is that this narration is regarding a person who whilst repenting to Allah Ta?ala recites this and thereafter passes away on this. A third explanation is that the fire will be forbidden on him is that he will not remain in the fire forever.

1. In the present world it is highly farfetched that no one has heard about Islam or Muslims. Just as a person could know about Islam from a Muslim similarly he could also be informed from an enemy of Islam. With the current media attacks against Islam and Muslims most, if not all, people have heard about Islam and Nabi ??? ???? ???? ????. It is therefore the duty of every person who hears about Nabi ??? ???? ???? ????to find out more regarding him and his religion.

If in some remote part of the world there is someone who has not heard about Nabi ??? ???? ???? ???? he believes in the oneness of Allah Ta?ala then he shall not be punished.

1. It is true that Muslims will go to heaven anyway. However, the issue is will he go to heaven straight away? This depends on his actions and the extent of him executing the orders of Allah Ta?ala. If he was successful in that and attained Allah Ta?ala?s pleasure, it is hoped he will enter paradise without going to hell. If he was relaxed in executing the orders of Allah Ta?ala, then there is much reason based on references in shariah that his entrance in paradise will be delayed. He may well have to endure punishment in hell for his complacency. One cannot simply be satisfied that one will go to heaven. An effort has to be made to stay away from hell as well. That is by being vigilant in fulfilling the dictates of iman. It is then hoped that Allah Ta?ala will favour us with immediate entrance in paradise. Insha-Allah. Ameen.
