Reciting the Takbeer Tashreeq after the Eidul Adhaa Salaah

Q: Salaah-613: What is the ruling concerning reciting the Takbeer Tashreeq after the Eidul Adhaa salaah? In a previous Fatwa of Fataawaa Raheemiyyah, you had stated that there is a difference of opinion in the matter. You then quoted several texts, but it is not clear which opinion is the prefetted one. Please clarify.

Answer: As indicated by the closing words of the Fatwa ("there is no harm in doing so"), it is Mustahab to recite the Takbeer Tashreeq after the Eidul Adhaa salaah.
Mufeedul Mufti states that the term ("there is no harm in doing so") may also be used to indicate a preferred (Mustahab) act. It is however used when people are likely to think that there is harm in doing the opposite. Reciting the Takbeer Tashreeq after the Eidul Adhaa salaah is Mustahab because this is an act that Muslims, including the Fuqahaa and Ulema, have been doing from generation to generation. It is Waajib (compulsory) to follow in their footsteps. This is the gist of the texts that appear in Tanweerul Absaar, Durrul Mukhtaar, Bahrur Raa'iq, and Raddul Mukhtaar.
And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
